Jackson projects as an early-down edge rotation player with starting potential if his block separation improves. Length, hand force and patient run leverage provide the foundation. Ordinary opening burst, limited bend and delayed counters restrict his immediate pass-rush value.

01Experience and production

Jackson started all 14 games in 2025 and recorded 28 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two pass breakups. In 2024 he appeared in all 16 games, finishing with 16 tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. The full starting season substantially increased his backfield production, although his rush wins often develop later in the down.

02Run recognition and block control

Jackson recognizes reach blocks, pulling guards and screens, but his anticipation is inconsistent. When he reads the play early, forceful hands let him meet a puller, disrupt the path and stack the blocker. Late diagnosis or delayed shedding leaves him attached as the runner reaches his gap. He continues pursuing when the play changes direction.

03Leverage and run fits

Jackson can bend his knees, lower his pads and use his length to keep contact away from his body. He remains patient in the fit and tracks the ball without routinely abandoning the gap for penetration. His reach helps finish across the blocker when he maintains that leverage.

Jackson's bull rush can stall against larger tackles. He sometimes follows with a two-handed pull, but the separation arrives late enough for the quarterback to release. His initial burst does not consistently threaten the corner, increasing his reliance on contact wins.
