Goosby has the range, length and strength to become a starting NFL left tackle, with enough movement to contribute across the run game. His first-round case depends on cleaner hand recovery, better balance against counters, a larger full-time starter sample and a healthy return from the knee injury.

Goosby has taken a steady path to the top of the tackle class. He redshirted, contributed throughout his second season, then handled high-leverage relief and postseason starts at both tackle spots before becoming Texas's full-time left tackle in 2025. He started every game there, earned first-team All-SEC recognition from the coaches and returned for another college season rather than entering the 2026 draft. The growth is real, but one full season is still a smaller starting sample than teams usually get from a veteran tackle prospect.

He also had a shoulder procedure after the 2025 season and said in July that the shoulder was ready. He underwent corrective surgery for an atrial septal defect in January 2022 and, according to his Texas bio, has had no issues since.
