Smith made his first college start in the December 2025 Citrus Bowl against Michigan, recording nine tackles and two interceptions. He also made nine tackles at Georgia, including a sack and another tackle for loss, and forced fumbles against San Jose State and Florida earlier that season. In 2024 he recorded 16 tackles and an interception while contributing on special teams.
