November 7, 2026. Schedule checked November 7, 2026; times can change.
Rasheem Biles had three sacks and two forced fumbles against Mississippi State; Texas faces a Missouri backfield with Jamal Roberts over 1,000 yards and Ahmad Hardy back in action. At noon Eastern, watch Biles try to shed a square block and Hardy decide when to take the inside crease. Bryant Wesco Jr.’s short-route timing is on at noon in Clemson–Syracuse; Iapani Laloulu’s run-block finish follows at 3:30 in Oregon–Ohio State. Darian Mensah closes the five at Notre Dame, where his pocket depth matters with Malachi Toney expected to miss the game.

Can he get off the block when a guard reaches his chest?
Rasheem Biles finished the Mississippi State game with three sacks, four tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. Missouri brings a different number into focus: Jamal Roberts has rushed for 1,005 yards. Biles can wreck a run before it develops because his first steps beat a climbing guard to the crease. The harder work starts when that guard arrives square and takes away the lane Biles wanted.
His quick hands and change of direction give him ways around contact, but getting around a block and getting off one are different demands. Follow the snaps on which Missouri puts a lineman into his chest. Does Biles keep an arm free, separate and close the gap, or does the blocker carry him past it? A late escape still has to leave him between the runner and the space the run was designed to attack.
Watch for
- When a guard reaches his chest, can he separate before the runner reaches the gap?
- Does beating the block leave him in the run fit or on the wrong side of the lane?
RB Missouri
Ahmad Hardy
Texas at Missouri · · ESPN
Can he commit to the crease instead of chasing the edge?
Ahmad Hardy gained one yard on his first carry of the season against Arkansas and converted third-and-short with a four-yard run. His return puts a runner with compact power back beside Roberts. The next question against Texas is the choice before contact: take the crease opening inside or keep searching for a route around the defense.
Before his injury, Hardy could wait for a backside defender to turn his hips and then cut beyond him. That patience worked when it followed the defender’s commitment; it cost yards when Hardy passed up an available lane. His first autumn carries are the place to check that distinction again. Watch the defender’s hips, Hardy’s plant and whether the cut points him into space or toward another tackler.
There is no need for a long run to make the inside choice worthwhile. A firm plant can put his shoulder and leg drive behind a short gain before pursuit reaches him. Start with the carries that offer both a narrow crease and an apparent escape outside.
Watch for
- Is the cut triggered by the backside defender turning his hips or by the search for more room?
- After the plant, does he drive through the crease or add another lateral step?
WR Clemson
Bryant Wesco Jr.
Clemson at Syracuse · · ESPN2
Can he make the short break without an extra step?
Bryant Wesco Jr. caught four passes for 33 yards at Florida State. His downfield tracking and long stride give Clemson a vertical threat, but the Syracuse trip also calls for a closer look at the short routes. A receiver who can draw a corner backward still has to stop and present a target before that defender drives on the throw.
Wesco can sell the vertical stem, sink into a comeback and cut inside without giving the break away early. Shorter timing routes leave less room to gather his feet. Watch the last two steps before the cut: does he get his weight down and turn, or add a step that delays his arrival? The question is the connection between that break and the quarterback’s release.
Compare his routes from a reduced split with those from a wider alignment. The extra room can change the path, but the finish still has to give the passer a target on schedule. Mark where Wesco is when the ball leaves, then how much space the corner closes before it arrives.
Watch for
- Does he lower his weight before the cut or need an extra step to turn?
- Is he showing the quarterback a target when the ball is released?
C Oregon
Iapani Laloulu
Oregon at Ohio State · · CBS
Can he keep his feet moving after the first strike?
Iapani Laloulu has started all eight games at center while Oregon has used six offensive-line combinations. The Ducks finally repeated a lineup against Northwestern and allowed no sacks as Dylan Raiola threw for 336 yards. Laloulu’s anchor and active hands are the stronger part of his report. Against Ohio State, follow whether his run blocks last beyond the initial strike.
He has the strength to move a defender, but dropping his eyes and stopping his feet can give back the lane that first contact opened. On an outside-zone rep, watch the second and third steps after the punch. His hips need to keep him square enough to seal; a defender who turns across his face forces the runner to change course.
The finish matters more than the size of the first collision. Compare a block he maintains with one that starts forcefully and then loosens. The point to mark is when his feet stop or his head drops, and whether the defender escapes before the back passes.
Watch for
- After the first strike, do his eyes stay up and his feet keep adjusting?
- On a zone block, does he hold the angle until the back clears his hip?
QB Miami
Darian Mensah
Miami at Notre Dame · · NBC / Peacock
Can he climb and reset before the edge rush closes?
Darian Mensah completed 22 of 29 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns at North Carolina. Malachi Toney, who caught two of those scores, is expected to miss Notre Dame after an ankle injury. Mensah’s timing now comes with a different receiving picture. If the first route is covered, watch where he goes before deciding to leave the pocket.
He can slide away from a rusher with his eyes still downfield, and his touch makes a settled platform worth keeping. The inconsistency is the depth: holding the first read or drifting away from usable space can bring an edge rusher into the play. A short climb and a reset give the next route time without making the tackles protect a new throwing spot.
Separate those snaps from immediate pressure through the middle, when the outlet has to come sooner. Follow the ball as well as the feet. Two hands through traffic, then a release from a balanced base, would keep the attempt alive without turning the escape into another chance to strip him.
Watch for
- With the edges bending around him, does he climb into usable space and reset?
- Against interior pressure, does the outlet arrive before he exposes the ball in traffic?
